“I Started to Shed Pounds and Inches”
Rewind to December 2007…I was in my 8th month of pregnancy with my 2nd child. I was up late one night reading the Osprey Observer and came across one of Rob Z’s client testimonials. I thought to myself, I would love to be a “before” and “after” someday. Fast forward to April 2008. I was shopping at the Lithia Crossing shopping center with my 3 month old and decided to check out RobZFitness studio. I was feeling Pretty frumpy that day as I was still wearing my maternity clothes. I had to be honest with myself, I still looked pregnant. I had not yet lost the “baby” weight and even though I wanted to fit back into my size 6 clothing, I really hadn’t been able to motivate myself. After meeting with Rob, and learning about Rob’s fitness program, I decided to enroll for 3 months to see if I could meet my fitness goals.
One of the things that drew me to RobZFitness was a female trainer. I liked the idea of working out with a trainer who was also a peer. Not only could she relate to where I was in my fitness journey, she was also able to relate to the emotional and physical challenges of being a post partum mother. About 1 month into training she said to me, “Girl, you better go home and burn that maternity top. You’re looking good and you are smaller than you think you are.” I had to laugh. I felt like I was on one of those TV makeover shows…”what not to look like at the gym”. She was right though. I had started to shed pounds and inches. I was really getting my shape back. Her encouragement and humor allowed me to look at myself in a new light.
It is now 3 months later and I feel and look great. I have lost 14 pounds and 18 inches. I went from 28.6% body fat to 22 %. My maternity clothes are gone and I am back into a size 6. I am back to feeling strong and healthy. I am proud to say that for the first time in my life I can finally do “boy” pushups. I recommend RobZFitness to anyone who is looking to make a positive change in their physical and psychological well being.
