Easy Turkey Wrap

This wrap is perfect to pack for lunch or makes a quick and healthy dinner. It’s ready in a flash, tastes amazing, and is filled with lean turkey, veggies and whole sprouted grains. Try it today, but don’t be surprised if you get hooked! Servings: 1

Here’s what you need:

  • 1 Sami’s Lavish wrap, 6 inches
  • 1 Tablespoon fat free fat cream cheese
  • 1/4 cup tomato, chopped
  • 1 cup lettuce roughly chopped
  • 4 oz lean turkey slices
  • dash of salt and pepper
  1. Spread a tablespoon of fat free cream cheese evenly over one side of the tortilla.
  2. Arrange the turkey slices over the cream cheese and layer with tomatoes. Top with lettuce, sprinkle with salt and pepper. Roll the tortilla closed.
  3. Cut in half and enjoy.

Nutritional Analysis: One serving equals: 177 calories, 1g fat, 21g carbohydrate, 4g fiber, and 21g protein.

Lost 70 lbs

Body Fat 36.4% to 22.6%

Lost 14% Body Fat

Last December, my husband approached me about us setting a goal of getting healthier in 2023. So, we made an appointment to talk to Rob at RobZFitness, who was recommended to him by our primary care physician Dr. Shawn Wallace. Upon meeting with Rob, we both decided it was time to commit to a healthier way of life. With the help of Rob and Taylor, and the support of each other, we have lost about 170 pounds total over the last 8-10 months. I have lost 70 pounds and lost 14% body fat in 10 month. My overall fitness level was at 15% when I started and now its at 88% for women at my age.

Like a lot of women, I have struggled with my weight all my life, especially after kids. This time my weight loss feels different. I wasn’t sure what to expect in the beginning, but I am surprised at how much stronger I’ve become, and the weight seem to just come off, losing an average of 2 pounds a week. I am 5’10 and I haven’t weighed under 200lbs in years. Now I weigh 195. With Rob and Taylor’s encouragement, I am pushing myself to get stronger and doing exercises I never thought I could accomplish. I have a few limitations with my knees but both Rob and Taylor worked around it and still push me to get stronger.  

Rob focused more on strengthening during his sessions and I am lifting amounts I never imagined. Taylor designated Wednesdays as Carolyn’s Core night. With his help, I am doing core exercises that I never thought I was capable of. With the support of Rob, Taylor and my husband who encouraged me all the way, I am stronger and healthier than I’ve been in a long time.

Lost 104 lbs in 8 Months

December 2022 I had my annual physical with Dr Wallace at TGH. He told me I needed to lose weight and the older I get I should weight train to build muscle for long-term health. The prior 3 years through COVID, I put on 50+ pounds. Dr. Wallace suggested that I talk to Rob at RobZFitness. He mentioned Rob was a friend of his and he and Taylor would help me lose weight and gain the needed muscle through their program. 

The week before Christmas my wife and I discussed our health and we decided to reach out to Rob to see what his program would offer. We soon committed to join RobZFitness for the entire 2023 year. Turned out to be one of the best investment decisions we have made. 

My intention was never to lose 100 pounds, my goal was only to get into better shape. We started to train with Rob and Taylor on a weekly basis (3xweek). As part of the program, I also started to track my daily nutritional information. Within the first month I started to see big results on the scale. Nutrition tracking and the additional cardio work I was doing on my own and I was started to physically feel much better. 

By May 2023, I had lost 70 pounds and felt amazingly better, looked completely different and started to wonder if I could maybe lose 100 pounds.  By the end of July I was down 90 pounds. Then almost exactly 8 months to the day, I hit the milestone of losing 104 pounds. Starting weight was 286 now 182lbs, I have lost 10” off my chest, 9” around waist and 4” around my thighs. I improved my fitness level for men at my age from 4% to 94%.

Having lost all the excess weight and consulting with Rob the goal now is to gain more muscle weight while keeping my body fat down. I’m looking forward to this next chapter of training at RobZFitness and the results it will produce.

13 Tips For Your Best Body

You know that diet and exercise are important when it comes to creating your best body, but you may be overlooking other techniques for getting into the best shape.

Turn the following 13 simple tips into habits and watch as your body transforms.

1) Eat a Smart Breakfast.
Most people load up on carbohydrates and simple sugars for breakfast. Cereal, pastries, smoothies and juice are all poor choices when it comes to starting your day off right. Center your breakfast around protein and healthy fat, and you’ll have energy for hours. Try a protein shake, eggs, lean breakfast meat, or a handful of nuts.

2) Get More Sleep.
If you’re not getting at least 8 hours of sleep each night then you could use more sleep. This is especially true if you’ve reached a plateau with weight loss. Give your body the 8 hours of sleep each night and make weight loss easier.

3) Just Do It.
If you’re really ready to achieve your best body ever, then dig down deep and commit. As Woody Allen famously said, “80% of success is showing up.” This is absolutely true when it comes to fitness. Show up to your workout. Even if you’re tired. Even if you’d rather be doing something else. Just do it.

4) Plan Ahead.
Take one day each week to plan your healthy meals for the following week. You don’t have to do all the shopping and cooking on that day, simply jot down what you plan to eat. This small act of planning ahead will keep you on track with healthy meals even when the week gets crazy busy.

5) Cut Out Gluten.
Many people don’t realize that they have a certain level of sensitivity to gluten, which causes intestinal inflammation and bloating. Also, gluten-filled foods are typically high in carbohydrates, which contribute to weight gain. When you cut gluten-filled items from your diet don’t fall into the trap of simply replacing those items with other high-carb items. Choose non-packaged, whole foods instead.

6) Believe In Yourself.
Do you believe that you have what it takes to transform your body? If you want to succeed in weight loss then you have to believe that it’s possible. Give yourself a pep talk and dig down deep for the courage and discipline to apply these healthy changes to your life.

7) Eat Less Dairy.
Dairy products like cheese or cream add extra fat and calories to your meals. Pass on the dairy and you’ll eliminate unnecessary calories, making weight loss quicker.

8) Sleep and Wake at the Same Time.
This tip sounds so simple, and yet it’s a powerful way to increase your daily energy. Get your body on a schedule and watch how much more productive and energetic you become.

9) Include Veggies at Every Meal.
Most people aren’t too crazy about vegetables, and probably eat less than they should. Make it a point to include a vegetable with each of your meals – even breakfast. The increase in fiber and other nutrients will give your body that extra boost that you’re looking for.

10) Ditch Packaged Food.
Throw out those packaged foods! This is one of the easiest things you can do to achieve quicker weight loss results. Packaged foods contain chemicals and additives that will slow your fitness results.

11) Drink More Water.
Being hydrated is key when it comes to creating your best body. Drink water throughout your day and limit caffeinated beverages to once daily.

12) Forget Artificial Sweeteners.
Sure, these sweeteners don’t contain calories, but they are known to increase your appetite and cravings for carbohydrates. In the quest for your best body, put down the diet soda and reach instead for some water.

13) Exercise With a Pro.
Are you exercising as efficiently as possible? Do you challenge your muscles enough during each workout? Are you keeping the routine new and fresh? These are all factors that will be taken care of for you when you work with a trained fitness professional. Working with a pro ensures that you make the most of your exercise time.

So there you have it, 13 tips that will take your results up a notch.
